Senegal Are 2025 African Champions

Resilient Senegal overcame all odds to defeat host nation Morocco 1-0, securing victory in the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament on Sunday.

Despite facing numerous challenges, Senegal persevered. The majority of the spectators were Moroccans, fervently supporting their team.

The referee appeared to display partiality by disallowing Senegal’s goal, while acquiescing to Morocco’s objection, resulting in a penalty awarded to them two minutes before the conclusion of the second half.

This led to a temporary walkout by the Senegalese team. However, Mane successfully rallied his teammates back onto the field.

Fortunately, Brahim failed to convert the penalty, which invigorated the Senegalese players, who returned to the field with renewed determination and enthusiasm.

Their perseverance was rewarded when Gueye delivered a powerful left-footed shot that found the back of Morocco’s net.

Gueye’s goal remained unanswered until the end of extra time.
