EFS Donates Household Items To 100 Widows In Taraba

A United States-based online business platform, EFS, has donated household items to 100 widows and other low-income earners in the Shavoh Community, located in the Jalingo Local Government Area of Taraba State, during its second Charity Event on Saturday.
The beneficiaries received essential items, including Maggi seasoning, Omo detergent, spaghetti, macaroni, and salt, as part of the organization’s initiative to support vulnerable members of the community.
During the event, the EFS State Coordinator, Ambassador Boniface Koson, stated that the outreach was fully sponsored by the organization as a testament to its dedication to humanitarian service and community development.
He emphasized that the beneficiaries were meticulously selected by EFS members, churches, mosques, and the host community to ensure that the assistance reached those in genuine need.
Koson elaborated that EFS was established in the United States in 2019 and commenced operations in Nigeria in 2023.
He added that the platform was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML) in January 2026.
He highlighted that the charity event exemplified EFS’s commitment not only to financial empowerment but also to improving lives through direct community support.
“This demonstrates that EFS is committed to both financial empowerment and humanitarian service, as well as community development.
“It is a platform that believes in uplifting others while progressing together,” he remarked.
He further mentioned that many members joined the platform in January 2026 and have since reaped numerous benefits, underscoring that EFS distinguishes itself from many unstable online platforms by being reliable, rewarding, and genuinely committed to its members’ welfare.
Koson revealed that he had received a power bank valued at N15,000, a water flask worth N30,000, and an Android phone valued at N150,000 from the platform, while other members have benefited from bicycles, freezers, Bluetooth headphones, and various other valuable gifts.
He encouraged non-members to seize the opportunity by joining the platform, noting that it could assist them in realizing their pending dreams, enhancing their financial stability, and becoming part of a supportive and rewarding community.
Additionally, the Chairman of Shavoh Community, Mr. Godwin Jibrin, along with traditional and religious leaders and the community woman leader, commended EFS for its generous gesture and pledged their support for its future activities.
It was reported that some of the new attendees at the event also expressed interest in joining the platform after hearing the testimonials shared by existing members, describing the experience as both inspiring and encouraging..
