Ndubuoke Delivers Keynote Speech At Imo SWAN Workshop

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State Chapter, has announced a special workshop for its members, which is scheduled to coincide with its general congress on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

This announcement was disseminated through a press statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Cosmos Chukwuemeka, and the Secretary, Tunde Liadi.

The workshop is themed “Balancing Truth and Loyalty: Ethical Responsibilities in Sports Reporting.”

High Chief Fan Ndubuoke (Ezinwa Mbaise), a former President of SWAN, ex-Chairman of the Imo State Sports Commission, and former Chairman of the Imo State Football Association, will deliver the keynote address.

This session aims to provide valuable insights into the ethical demands of sports journalism, particularly emphasizing the necessity for journalists to remain objective while maintaining professional relationships within the industry.

Drawing from his extensive experience across various leadership roles in sports administration and journalism, Ndubuoke is expected to offer guidance to members on maintaining credibility, integrity, and balance in their reporting.

SWAN Imo underscores the importance of this workshop in enhancing professional standards and reinforcing ethical  conduct of its members in an evolving media landscape.

The association encourages members to attend the general congress, which will precede the workshop, and to actively participate in both engagements.
