Nzeribe, Ex-Immigration Comptroller Laid To Rest

The body of the Immediate past Comptroller of Immigration Anambra State,Mr Godwin Nzeribe who died fifteen days after his retirement has been buried in Umuahia,Abia State.

Preaching at the funeral service, conducted by Redeemed Christian church Umuahia, Pastor Adepoju David Sunday called on Christians to beware of their lifestyles.

Preaching on the topic “Towards a glorious end”, pastor Adepoju reminded the people of the inevitability of death and urged all to be prepared at all times.

He described the late CIS Godwin Ndubuisi Nzeribe as a true Christian leader and servant who lived for the good of society and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

In a tribute, the wife of the deceased , Deaconess Juliet Nzeribe described her late husband as a worthy partner who never deviated from loving her and the children.

She therefore challenged men of the immigration service to endeavour to Carter for their families, which was a key principle her late husband maintained.

The first son of the deceased,Mr Emmanuel Godwin said though the death of his father was a rude shock to them, the family has accepted the situation believing that God will console them.

Speaking, the younger brother of the deceased, the very Reverend Osondu Nzeribe of the Methodist church Okigwe said the death of his elder brother was like a bombshell when the family was planning to celebrate his retirement.
He said that they have lost a genius,hero and a helper.

The comptroller of Immigration Abia State Command Mrs J.N Owe and her Anambra state counterpart Umerah Timothy attended the funeral.
