College Of Health Provost Lauds Uzodimma’s Developmental Strides
The Provost of Imo State College of Health and Management Sciences, Amaigbo, Nwangele LGA, Pharm. Ethelbert Okechukwu Obiasogu, has praised Governor Hope Uzodimma for his notable achievements across Imo State.
During a press conference at his office on October 9, 2025, Pharm. Obiasogu described the recent visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the state as both opportune and influential, emphasizing its role in unveiling several significant projects implemented by Governor Uzodimma.
Key projects commissioned during the presidential visit included the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) in Owerri, the newly built Control Post Twin Flyover, and the rehabilitated Owerri/Mbaise/Umuahia Road.
According to the Provost, the infrastructure development under Governor Uzodimma’s administration demonstrates his capability and genuine commitment to governance, dispelling past criticisms.
‘Those familiar with Senator Hope Uzodimma prior to his governorship were confident in his ability to deliver,’ Obiasogu said.
‘He prioritizes quality projects; the interior of the EIICC and the roads he has built reflect his vision. The people of Imo State stand behind him,’ he said.
Pharm. Obiasogu also thanked the Governor for the autonomy and support given to the Imo State College of Health and Management Sciences, noting the institution’s successful achievement of full accreditation.
He further commended Governor Uzodimma for prioritizing state workers’ welfare, highlighting the implementation of a new minimum wage of ₦104,000.
‘Governor Hope Uzodimma has shown his dedication to Imo workers’ welfare through the new wage structure, demonstrating his genuine interest in workers,’ he concluded.
