Afro Lottery Systems, a prominent player in the lottery industry, has officially inaugurated an outlet in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.
The company indicated that four additional locations are planned for development within the state.
Asiwaju Uzoma Anokwute, Operations Manager of the Imo State Lottery and Gaming Authority, on Wednesday September 16 officially inaugurated the Afro Lottery Systems (ALS) outlet in the state.
The outlet is located at 102 Oparanozie Street in Owerri, the state capital.
Prior to cutting the ribbon to declare the outlet open, Asiwaju Anokwute expressed his hopes for the prosperity of the business, emphasizing the importance of attracting both high and low net worth individuals as patrons.
Earlier, Okenze George Nkwoji, Managing Director of The Moment Communications Limited, the super agents for Afro Lottery Systems, assured attendees that the outlet would adhere to all rules and regulations governing pool betting and gaming within the state.
He affirmed that the establishment would maintain a strong relationship with both the regulatory authority and the public.
A notable highlight of the inauguration was the dedication of the outlet to God, conducted by Rev. Canon Daberechi Maduakolam, Administrator of Obube Archdeaconry of the Anglican Church.
Rev. Canon Maduakolam prayed for divine guidance to ensure that no illicit transactions occur within the outlet.
Officials from the Imo State Lottery and Gaming Authority present at the inauguration included Emeka Ofo, Barrister Chidiebere Anyaoha, Mrs. Chukwuma F. N., Pastor Johnson Okereke, and Boniface Chinedu.
The activities scheduled at the outlet will encompass number games, lottery, virtual sports, and scratch-and-win cards.
