Abia Ex-Works Commissioner Resigns From PDP
Former Commissioner for Works in Abia, Chief Ukwu Rocks Emma, has formally announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his resignation letter dated Thursday, April 30, 2026, Chief Rocks expressed regret that the PDP had veered off its intended course, diverging from their previously agreed-upon objectives.
In light of this situation, Chief Rocks determined that the most appropriate action was to withdraw from the party.
Chief Rocks, a former legislator and past chairman of Bende Local Government Area, did not disclose which new political party he plans to join.
The PDP is currently experiencing a significant division, with two factions being led by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Alhaji Saminu Turaki, SAN.
