Abduction Of 4 Imo Girls College Students False, Says Principal
The authorities of Imo Girls College, located in Owerri, Imo State, have denied reports regarding the alleged abduction of four students of the college by herdsmen.
The college has characterized these reports as mere hearsay and fallacious.
In a conversation with our correspondent, Mrs. Amadi A. N., the principal of the college, asserted that there was no abduction of any students from the institution.
She clarified that the students were dismissed to return home peacefully due to a rally organized by the Nigerian Union of Teachers and other related activities involving the college’s teachers.
On Tuesday, social media platforms were inundated with reports regarding the alleged abduction of four students from the college.
These reports caused widespread alarm throughout the state, as many were astonished by the audacity of kidnappers who would dare to invade the college situated on the bustling Okigwe Road Owerri and execute such a heinous act without opposition.
