Onyeaji Dumps NDC, Rejoins ADC
Collins Onyeaji, a political figure from Imo State, has officially resigned from his membership in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and has subsequently rejoined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a correspondence addressed to the Chairman of the NDC Omuma Ward in Oru East Local Government Area, Mr. Onyeaji stated that his resignation is effective immediately.
He further explained that his decision to leave the NDC was made after thorough consultation with his family, political associates, and friends.
Mr. Onyeaji conveyed similar sentiments regarding his decision to rejoin the ADC, indicating that this move was also made following careful discussions with his family and political associates.
Additionally, he reaffirmed his dedication to promoting good governance and grassroots development.
It is significant to note that Justice Isa Dashen of the High Court in Kogi State overturned the registration of the NDC on Friday.
Justice Dashen rescinded his previous order, issued in December 2025, which directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the NDC.
The jurist’s recent judgment has led to considerable unrest, with the NDC expressing its intent to challenge the decision through an appeal.
