Man Demolishes Uncle’s House, Renders Widow Homeless
An individual from Umuakali Naze, Owerri North Local Government Area in Imo State, Chukwuma Anosirike, on Friday, May 22, 2026, demolished the residence of his late uncle, consequently leaving the widow, her only son, and three grandchildren without a home.
According to information obtained by National Newsbreak, Anosirike had previously demolished the Boys Quarters of the property, which was where the widow, Mrs. Cecelia Onyeneke, a retired nurse, operated her maternity clinic.
It is reported that Anosirike arrived at the premises accompanied by thugs and armed policemen in uniform, subsequently reducing the house to ruins.
Our correspondent has learned that there is an ongoing legal case concerning Anosirike’s unlawful demolition of the Boys Quarters at the time he proceeded with the demolition of the main residence.
Anosirike asserts that the building is his rightful inheritance.
