Ihedioha Hosts 13th Edition Of Christmas Cantata

Former Governor of Imo State, Rt Honorable Emeka Ihedioha, is hosting the 13th edition of his annual Christmas Cantata on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at his residence in Aronta, Mbutu, in the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

This annual event, which has become a defining hallmark of the yuletide season, is officially titled “Emeka Ihedioha Christmas Cantata & Festival of Songs 2025.”

The 2025 edition is themed “The Set Time to Favour Zion” (Psalm 102:13), conveying a message of divine intervention, hope, and restoration.

The programme is set to commence promptly at 4:00 pm.

The cantata brings together worshippers, music ministers, choirs, and guests from various backgrounds to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ through soul-lifting hymns, choral renditions, and inspiring messages focused on peace, love, and unity.

Over the years, the Christmas Cantata has evolved into a revered platform for spiritual reflection and communal bonding, reinforcing the core values of love, service, and togetherness that define the Christmas season.

The 13th edition is expected to feature powerful musical performances, fervent prayers, and moments of intercession for the nation, Imo State, and humanity at large.

It is widely acknowledged that Rt Honorable Ihedioha’s Christmas message to the people of Imo and his supporters this season is a call to embrace love, pursue peace with all, and cultivate a heart of forgiveness, which he describes as fundamental virtues expected of Christians, particularly during Christmas.

He is also anticipated to emphasize that the season calls for reconciliation, compassion, and unity, noting that genuine peace can only thrive where hearts are filled with love and the spirit of forgiveness.

Speaking in anticipation of the event, associates of the former governor have characterized the cantata as a personal commitment by Right Honorable Ihedioha to sustaining the true essence of Christmas beyond political, ethnic, or social divides.

Residents of the area and invited guests have expressed excitement and anticipation for the programme, noting that the annual cantata has consistently provided an atmosphere of worship, spiritual renewal, and moral reawakening, while strengthening social harmony during the festive period.

The event once again underscores Ihedioha’s sustained engagement with the people and his passion for faith-based initiatives that promote spiritual values, peaceful coexistence, and communal unity during the Christmas season.
