Bemore Foundation Holds End-of-the-year Sit-Out With Grandma’
Bemore Empowered Girls Foundation is set to organize its inaugural ‘End-of-the-year Sit-Out With Grandma’ event, scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025.
The gathering will take place at the Igoloibiam Place, situated at No. 3 Harcourt Whyte Street, Owerri, Imo State, commencing at 12:00 noon.
This event offers a valuable opportunity for the founder and former First Lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, to engage with the alumni of the Bemore Summer Boot Camp from Imo State.
Since its inception in 2017, the foundation has successfully graduated over 4,000 young women from boot camps held across Imo, Ondo, and Oyo States.
Throughout the rigorous two-week annual programs, participants receive training in Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Solar Energy installation.
Additionally, they acquire transformative skills in areas such as confectionery-making, gele-tying, bead-making, soap-makjng, hairdressing, drawing, and public speaking.
The program also includes self-defense training through taekwondo, equipping the participants with assertiveness and the necessary skills to thrive in the technological landscape.
The initiative has been recognized for its role in demystifying STEM+E (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics + Entrepreneurship).
It has successfully bridged the gender gap in STEM+E, a field previously considered to be exclusively dominated by males.
