Monarch Disassociates From Request To Relocate Ideato Fed Constituency Hqtrs
His Royal Majesty Eze K. N. Kanu, Chairman of the Ideato North Council of Traditional Rulers, has officially disassociated himself from a document that requests the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to relocate the headquarters of the Ideato Federal Constituency from Urualla to Dikenafai.
In a letter dated September 24, 2026, and addressed to the INEC Chairman, Eze Kanu stated that he was neither privy to the petition nor had he signed it.
He asserted that his signature must have been fraudulently inserted by individuals with malicious intent.
Eze Kanu, who serves as the Traditional Ruler of Awada Iheme Izuogu Ancient Kingdom, vowed to take action against those responsible for this egregious act and ensure they are held accountable.
The monarch emphasized that Urualla has served as the headquarters of the Ideato Federal Constituency for many years, characterizing Urualla as a peaceful and welcoming community with no history of insecurity.
