Anyanwu-Akeredolu Calls For Synergy Among Elected Representatives, Unveils Manifesto

Her Excellency, Dr. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the former First Lady of Ondo State and Labour Party candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election in the Owerri Federal Constituency, has emphasized the importance of synergy among elected representatives as a vital component for the coordinated and rapid development of the nation.

During a press briefing held at her office in Owerri, Imo State on Wednesday, Dr. Anyanwu-Akeredolu pledged to work collaboratively with all elected officials, regardless of their political party affiliations, to expedite the development of her constituency, should she be elected.

She asserted that the lack of synergy among elected representatives was responsible for stunted development of most communities in the country.

The Labour Party candidate asserts that collaborative efforts will lead to the realization of more democratic benefits.

Dr. Anyanwu-Akeredolu, who holds the esteemed Ada Owere 1 title, expressed her concern regarding the infrastructure deficit in rural communities, emphasizing that essential services such as healthcare centers should already be established in every community within her constituency.

She advocated for the construction of standard healthcare centers and the adoption of telemedicine to deliver quality healthcare to the rural population.

The candidate expressed her regret that ancestral markets in many communities remain in their primitive states, questioning why, as time progresses, the quality of life in the country declines rather than improves.

Dr. Anyanwu-Akeredolu took the opportunity to present her 10-point manifesto, pledging to conduct windshield surveys to identify the priority projects of communities in her constituency, while emphasizing that the needs of each community are distinct.

The manifesto primarily focuses on youth empowerment and job creation, education and human capital development, women empowerment and gender inclusion, healthcare and public health, as well as infrastructure and community development.

Additionally, it addresses agriculture, food security, and sustainable development, social protection and support for vulnerable groups, environmental sustainability and healthy communities, security and community development, and effective representation with legislative impact.

Dr. Anyanwu-Akeredolu committed to attracting federal projects while ensuring visible, accountable, and responsive representation.

The former first lady asserted that good governance is attainable, citing Abia State and Governor Alex Otti as evidence that effective governance is not an insurmountable challenge.
