Imo Govt Announces Programme Of Activities To Mark Uzodimma’s Six Years In Office
The Government of Imo State has unveiled a series of events to commemorate the sixth anniversary of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s tenure.
Governor Uzodimma reached this milestone on January 15, 2027, having assumed office on January 15, 2020.
According to an official statement from the State Commissioner for Information, Strategy, and Public Orientation, Hon Declan Emelumba, a statewide broadcast is scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
He urged all radio and television stations to connect for this broadcast.
Additionally, a thanksgiving service will be conducted on the same day at 10:00 a.m. at the Government House Chapel in Owerri.
Following the broadcast, the governor will proceed with the inauguration of his legacy projects, the commissioner stated.
Furthermore, Emelumba announced that Governor Uzodimma will engage in a media interaction and a phone-in radio programme on Friday, January 16, 2026.
He revealed that more than 15 radio stations across Imo, Anambra, and Abia States will broadcast the phone-in programme live.
Encouraging the participation of the people of Imo, he also mentioned that the phone-in programme will be live-streamed on all pertinent internet platforms.
