2027: Mbaike Dumps Akarachi, Picks Onyeukwu For Reps Seat

The residents of the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency in Imo State have expressed a lack of confidence in their current House of Representatives member, Honorable Akarachi Amadi, and have urged him to abandon any plans for reelection in 2027.

The constituents have called upon Chief Temple Onyeukwu, a distinguished individual from the area, to step forward as a replacement for Honorable Amadi.

This announcement was made to the press on Thursday by Chief Morgan Iwuanyanwu, the Diaspora Patron of the Mbaike Chapter of the South East Ambassadors.

Iwuanyanwu emphasized that it is within their fundamental rights to decide who will represent the constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.

According to Iwuanyanwu, “The decision to replace Rt. Honorable Akarachi Amadi is made without sentiment. Instead, Rt. Honorable Amadi is expected to graciously accept this decision.

“Despite the evident gaps in his representation style, the welcoming people of Mbaike patiently awaited the conclusion of his first term.

“We supported him in improving and preparing for another term, yet, to our dismay, there is nothing to demonstrate that he possesses the necessary vision to address the challenges faced by the majority of the Mbaitoli and Ikeduru residents, who live in near sub-human conditions, experiencing extreme poverty and enduring a continuous cycle of hardship.

“The suffering people of Mbaike are weary of hearing empty promises spoken in the drawing rooms of the affluent.

“Mbaike requires someone like Chief Temple Ogueri Onyeukwu, who views his role as an opportunity to serve his people, shoulder their burdens, and seek ways to assist them.

“Sir Temple is entering the Green Chambers with a clear manifesto, committed to delivering democratic dividends across various sectors, initiating programs to reduce unemployment, addressing security issues to encourage investment and economic growth, enhancing infrastructure standards through oversight functions, amplifying our voice where necessary, advocating for us where battles are to be fought, and lobbying for support where required.
