Toronto Crisis: UCOB Extends Condolences To Bereaved Family
The Uratta Committee of Brothers (UCOB) has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the family who tragically lost a loved one during the confrontation between traders and operatives of the Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) at Toronto Junction two weeks ago.
Reports indicate that an indigene of Uratta lost his life, while several others sustained injuries during the unfortunate incident.
The UCOB encouraged the grieving family to find strength and endure the irreversible loss with resilience.
In an official statement signed by Barrister Ezekiel Oparah, Grand Brother, and Honorable Ogadi Opara, Grand Secretary, the UCOB offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and wished a swift recovery for those injured.
The committee appealed to the people of Uratta to remain calm and adhere to the law, assuring them of its commitment to engage with relevant stakeholders to seek a lasting resolution to the conflict.
It emphasized its strong belief in dialogue as a means to address the impasse.
Furthermore, the UCOB reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Governments of Uratta, Imo State, and Nigeria.
