Obilubi Community Insists On Suspension Of Obazu Mbieri Monarch

The Obilubi Community, located within the Obazu Mbieri Ancient Kingdom in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, has reiterated its endorsement of the call to suspend the Traditional Ruler, His Royal Highness Eze Nze Francis Elendu Agunwa.

The community expressed full support for the stance taken by the Obazu Mbieri Town Union, led by Town Planner Iheanyi Abaekwume, advocating for the suspension of HRH Eze Agunwa from his position.

Ahamefula Desmond Nnanyereugo, President of the Obilubi Community Development Union, therefore urged the public to disregard the group known as Obilubi Concerned Citizens, which has opposed the monarch’s suspension.

Nnanyereugo emphasized that the views of the Obilubi Concerned Citizens do not represent the consensus of the community.

He further stated that it is widely acknowledged that certain unscrupulous and discontented individuals are exploiting Eze Agunwa’s ill-health to incite discord within the Obazu Mbieri Ancient Kingdom.

Nnanyereugo highlighted that the actions of these individuals serve as evidence of the traditional ruler’s incapacity to fulfill the duties of the throne.

While noting that the Abaekwume-led Town Union has been concealing the health status and whereabouts of Eze Agunwa for some time, Nnanyereugo called upon the Mbaitoli Council of Traditional Rulers, the Mbaitoli Local Government Council, and the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers to intervene in order to address the ongoing crisis in the Obazu Mbieri Ancient Kingdom.

It is important to acknowledge that since the controversy arose regarding the alleged incapacity of Eze Francis Elendu Agunwa, his representatives have not found it necessary for him to publicly address his subjects, either in person or through a video message from his residence in London.
