Morocco’s Diaz Leads AFCON 2025 Scorers’ Chart

Moroccan forward Brahim Díaz has emerged as the foremost goalscorer at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Díaz currently leads the scoring chart with five goals, placing him ahead of Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, who has netted four goals.

This development follows Nigeria’s 2–0 triumph over Algeria in their quarter-final match on Saturday evening, a victory that secured the Super Eagles a place in the semi-finals.

Nigeria is now poised to face hosts Morocco in the semi-final, setting the stage for a highly anticipated encounter between Osimhen and the tournament’s leading scorer, Díaz.

In the meantime, Egypt defeated Ivory Coast on Saturday night, scoring 3-2 to eliminate the defending champions.

Egypt is to meet Senegal in the semi-final stage.
