Maduike Responds To Okoro’s Smear Campaign
Chief Emmanuel Maduike, a former factional President-General of Orluzurumee, has issued a response to allegations of a smear campaign purportedly orchestrated against him by a member of the Board of Trustees, Chief Reuben Okoro.
It has been reported that Chief Okoro accused Chief Maduike of theft during an event where he hosted the new President General of the organization, Honorable Ugochukwu Nzekwe.
Chief Maduike remarked that he is not the sole president-general of the organization whom Chief Okoro has disparaged in such a manner. He further asserted that nearly all former presidents of the organization have faced Chief Okoro’s criticism due to their refusal to yield to his avarice and authoritarianism.
In an official statement, Chief Maduike recounted an instance where the organization’s executive visited a politician who contributed a sum of money.
Chief Okoro allegedly directed that the funds be deposited into an account for which he and his associates were signatories.
Chief Maduike insisted that a portion of the funds should be allocated to the executive members involved in the visit, while another portion should be utilized by the organization, a stance that met with Chief Okoro’s opposition.
Chief Maduike stated that this disagreement was among the factors that led Chief Okoro to engage in a defamatory campaign against him. He recalled various incidents that contributed to the deterioration of his relationship with Chief Okoro and advised the current president, Hon Ugochukwu Nzekwe and his executive to exercise caution in their dealings with Chief Okoro.
