Catholic Church Ordains Publisher’s Son
The priestly ordination of Reverend Gregory Chibueze Ogu is scheduled for August 1, 2026.
Reverend Gregory Chibueze Ogu is the son of Chief Gerry Ogu, Co-Publisher of the Owerri-based Trumpeta Newspaper.
The ceremony will take place at Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Control Post, Owerri, Imo State.
A statement issued by Sir Chris Ezewuike, Chairman of the Planning Committee, indicates that the ordination will be conducted by His Grace Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Owerri Catholic Archdiocese.
The statement extends an invitation to friends and well-wishers to attend and witness the ordination.
