APC Stalwart Commends Uzodimma For INPA ‘Grand Patron’ Award

Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma was on Thursday honored with the esteemed title of “Grand Patron” by the Imo Newspaper Publishers Association (INPA).

This recognition was part of the celebrations commemorating the fourteenth anniversary of INPA.

The award was in recognition of Governor Uzodimma’s contributions to the advancement of journalism and media practices in Imo State during his administration.

In a congratulatory message, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, the South East National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), characterized the award as a clear testament to the governor’s initiatives in promoting good governance.

He remarked that the collective decision by all newspaper publishers in Imo State to honor the governor as their grand patron underscores the conducive environment his 3-R administration has fostered for a free and fair journalism practice within the state.

Dr. Arodiogbu elaborated that the award from INPA is a commendable decision, especially at a time when it is imperative for all Imo citizens, particularly journalists, to enlighten, inform, and educate the public on the effective governance of the APC-led federal and state governments.

The APC leader further described Uzodimma as a multifaceted individual whose contributions to societal growth are significant and cannot be overstated.

He asserted that under Uzodimma’s leadership, the state has reached remarkable heights in various domains, earning him numerous international, national, and local accolades.

Moreover, Dr. Arodiogbu noted that Uzodimma has distinguished himself not only in governance but also in human relations, which is reflected in the INPA award.

“I offer my heartfelt congratulations to my leader, Onwa ndi Imo, and the entire South East, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for this significant honor from the Imo Newspaper Publishers Association. This award is a testament to his comprehensive and inclusive administration.

“This achievement would not have been possible without the harmonious relationship and collaboration between the Executive and the members of the fourth estate of the realm. This is the essence of practical leadership, and I must commend him for it.

“To the leadership and members of INPA, I commend you for recognizing and rewarding the dedication, exemplary work, and selfless service of His Excellency,” Dr. Arodiogbu expressed with enthusiasm.

Furthermore, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu affirmed that across the federation, Governor Hope Uzodimma is regarded as the most media-friendly governor, and the INPA members have validated this sentiment through the presentation of the grand patron award to him.

“This recognition extends beyond Governor Hope Uzodimma; it highlights the freedom of the press he has championed and upheld.”

He also recollected that Uzodimma has been repeatedly honored by various national publications for his distinctive contributions to nation-building and unity.
