ALGON, Agwa, Mrs Iwuanyanwu, Others welcome Tinubu, Laud Uzodimma’s Developmental Strides.
Various groups and individuals from Imo State, including organizations, have joined in welcoming President Bola Tinubu on his one-day working visit to the state on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
The Imo State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, views the visit as a demonstration of leadership and commitment to national development.
In a statement signed by the state Chairman, Engr Ikenna Adikibe, ALGON noted that the visit is also a bold step in fulfilling the promise of infrastructure, economic growth, and prosperity for the people of Imo State.
In welcoming President Tinubu for the historic visit, the widow of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Mrs. Frances, expressed gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for naming the Imo State International Conference Centre, IICC, Owerri, in honour of her late husband.
She observed that by naming the IICC in honour of her husband, the governor has enshrined Iwuanyanwu into the minds of the people.
The Agwa Central Development Union observed that the president has repositioned Nigeria for better growth within the two years of his administration.
The union also hailed Governor Uzodimma for chronicling the achievements of the All Progressives Congress, APC-led government, in a book to be launched during the visit.
