INPA Inaugurates 2026 Awards Committee

The Imo Newspaper Publishers Association (INPA) has established an eight-member committee tasked with organizing its annual awards for 2026.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to occur in November of this year.

The decision to form the committee was made during the association’s general meeting held over the weekend.

At the annual awards ceremony, INPA will recognize and honor distinguished individuals who have excelled in various fields and significantly contributed to the socio-economic and political development of Imo State and Nigeria as a whole.

The award categories will encompass governance, business and entrepreneurship, community development, oil and gas, education, philanthropy, and professional excellence.

The members of the eight-member committee include: Sir Chidi Emeagi (Chairman), Mr. Leonard Ajokubi (Secretary), High Chief Bright Njoku, Chief Henry Ekpe, Pastor Gele Agbai, Comr. Ifeanyi Nwanguma, Mr. Jotham Emenyonu, and Mrs. Shirley Munonye.

Inaugurated during the meeting, the committee is responsible for organizing a successful and seamless event that will enhance the association’s image.

Chief Declan Anaele, the Chairman of the association, urged the committee to leverage their extensive experience to ensure that this year’s edition exceeds previous ones in terms of organization, credibility, and participation.

He also appealed to well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations in Imo State to collaborate with INPA to ensure the November event’s success.

The date and venue for the awards ceremony will be announced in due course by the planning committee.
