Nnamdi Kanu Demands From News Central TV
Incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has demanded an unreserved apology from News Central TV over its broadcast in which an interviewee called on the federal government to kill him.
One Chigozie Nnabugwu featured in a programme of the station and called for Kanu’s execution as the only panacea for insecurity in the South East region.
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, head of the legal team of IPOB leader, in a letter to the station, demanded a public apology and immediate retraction of the statement.
The legal representative also demanded that the retraction be accorded equal prominence.
He further demanded that the station implements disciplinary action against the anchor and producer of the programme.
