Reps Member, Chike Okafor Condoles Uma Ukpai’s Family

Hon. Chike Okafor, the federal lawmaker representing Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma, and Obowo Federal Constituency, has condoled the family and friends of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, founder of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, who passed away, describing the late cleric as a stalwart in the faith.

He stated that Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai’s evangelical efforts positively impacted numerous lives and that his legacy will endure.

Hon. Okafor urged Christians to emulate the virtues of the late cleric, emphasizing that a life of good works is a hallmark of a responsible Christian life.

He further noted that while heaven has gained a notable soul, the family, well-wishers, and the Christian community must find the strength to cope with the loss.

The lawmaker said;, ‘Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai pursued the call of God upon his life, and fulfilled it. Today he is no more, but his legacies live on.’

Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai passed away on October 6, 2025.
