Lagos Mother Begs For Help To Pay Abducted Child’s Ransom

A Nigerian mother is expressing profound distress over the abduction of her daughter, Binuyo Latifat, who was kidnapped while en route to the Orientation Camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

In a video shared on the platform X, Latifat’s mother implored fellow Nigerians to assist the family in raising the N30 million ransom demanded by the captors for her release.

She stated, “Please assist me, as my child has been kidnapped. The incident occurred on Thursday. She boarded a vehicle at Iddo, and upon contacting her, I learned of her abduction.”

She is deeply concerned that Latifat’s captors may cause her harm if the ransom is not paid promptly, emphasizing that she cannot bear the loss of her daughter, who is her only child.

She said: “They have demanded a ransom of 30 million. I implore you, please assist me. Do not allow me to mourn my child, as she is my only one.”

National Newsbreak learnt that Latifat’s immediate family could only gather 1 million Naira, prompting her mother to seek public assistance.
