Ex-Lawmaker, Nzeruo To Be Laid To Rest On January 6
The funeral ceremony for the former member of the Imo State House of Assembly, Honorable Nkenna Nzeruo, is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in his hometown of Umuejike Uzu Ubachima I, Awo-Omama, Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State.
A statement released by his son, Chukwuemeka Johnson Nzeruo, on behalf of the family, disclosed that his body will be retrieved from Aladinma Owerri Mortuary and transported to his hometown for a brief lying-in-state before the interment.
The statement further indicated that his burial will be preceded by a funeral mass at St. John’s Catholic Parish Ubachima I.
Honorable Nkenna Nzeruo passed away at the age of 50.
