Ex-Aides Celebrate Senator Uwajumogu
Former aides of the late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu have extended their congratulations on the occasion of what would have been his 61st birthday anniversary.
Senator Uwajumogu would have celebrated this milestone on June 30.
In a statement issued to National Newsbreak, the former aides expressed that they continue to feel his presence daily, despite his passing seven years ago.
They commemorated him as more than just a boss and leader, highlighting his vision that inspired hope in many individuals.
The statement reads: “We, your aides, celebrate you posthumously today. Although you are no longer physically present with us, your influence is still felt every day.
“You were more than a boss and leader; you were truly an icon, a bearer of great ideas, a torchbearer (Ogbuhuruzo), and a man whose vision instilled hope in many. Your legacy is indelible, leaving marks that no passage of time can erase.”
Dr. Samuelson Ikenna Iwuoha, who served as Chief Press Secretary to Senator Uwajumogu, signed the statement on behalf of 29 other former aides of the deceased.
Senator Uwajumogu initially served as Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015 before being elected to the National Assembly, where he represented the Okigwe Zone as a senator from 2016 to 2019.
