Celebrating Rev. Dr. Uzoamaka Uhuegbu

Great men are known by their footprints.
They are peculiar, distinctive and sterling in their actions. Such individuals view leadership as a platform to contribute their quota to the development of the society.
It is significant to celebrate great leaders who are making positive impact in the lives of people.

Rev Dr Uzoamaka Uhuegbu is a leader who is making impact in the lives of people.
He understands the efficacy of leadership.
When you interact with him, all you would see is a man that wants a society that works for everyone, irrespective of their social status.
This very feature is something any sound mind would see in him.
Rev Dr Uhuegbu, FCNA, CCrFA is a Chartered Forensic Accountant, a Director of Accounts, and a prospective Permanent Secretary in the Imo State Civil Service.

I met this great son of Ihitte Uboma LGA, in 2011. During this period, he was one of the confidants of then Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, of blessed memory, late Rt Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu.

When God enabled our paths to cross, he saw the potentials in me and subsequently cemented my meeting with the then late Imo State House of Assembly Speaker.
In fact, Rev Uzoamaka threw in some good words for me, before the Speaker, and told him the importance of bringing me close to the office.
Of course, late Uwajumogu was satisfied and promised to consider his request. There were many benefits I gained after that meeting.
Within the period under review, I had unhindered access to the office of the Speaker.
It was made possible because of individuals like Rev Uzoamaka.

Even after late Uwajumogu went to the National Assembly as Senator, Rev Uzoamaka maintained a very good relationship with me.
He would call me most times and referred good opportunities to me.

During last year’ Imo LG elections, he recommended me to his younger brother, Barr Uhuegbu to co-ordinate his media team.

Indeed, Rev Uzoamaka Uhuegbu is one individual, I don’t joke with. He is someone you can call anytime, and he would respond without much ado.

It is with great joy that I join his friends, family members and well-wishers to wish him a blissful birthday celebration.
