Nonsonkwa Urges Uzodimma To Resign From APC PCC

A prominent broadcaster Theodore Chinonso Ubah, widely known as Nonsonkwa, has called on Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State to resign from his position as secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Nonsonkwa’s recommendation arises from the recent appointment of Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, to the PCC.

He emphasized that Wike has previously criticized APC governors, labeling them as ineffective and corrupt after they rejected his Rainbow Coalition initiative.

Political observers had anticipated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would intervene upon his return from a working vacation in Europe, particularly by addressing Wike’s conduct.

Nonsonkwa argued that Wike’s inclusion in the APC PCC suggests that the president values Wike’s contributions more than those of the governors.

He expressed concern regarding how Governor Uzodimma could effectively document the minutes of PCC meetings with Wike present.

Furthermore, he reminded Governor Uzodimma of Wike’s declaration that he would not permit the governor to ascend to the presidency of the Senate.

Nonsonkwa concluded that resigning from the PCC would be the most honorable course of action for Governor Uzodimma.
