Ugwueke Community Hosts Women’s Cooking Competition

In an effort to enhance the annual August meeting, a women’s cooking competition is scheduled to take place in the Ugwueke Community, situated within the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

The event is set for August 15, 2026, at the premises of Ugwueke Secondary School in Ozara Ndielu.

The organizers, Ugwueke Youths in Diaspora, stated that this initiative aims to infuse excitement, enjoyment, unity, and cultural richness into the annual August Meeting for women in the community.

An invitation has been extended to both indigenes and non-indigenes to attend and support, appreciate, and celebrate their grandmothers, mothers, wives, daughters, and sisters during the event.

This cooking competition will provide women with the opportunity to demonstrate their culinary skills, creativity, teamwork, and knowledge of the rich culinary traditions of Africa and Ugwueke.
