There Is No Diabolism In My Philanthropy -Amadi
Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi, the candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP) in the Imo East Senatorial District, asserts that his relentless philanthropic efforts are devoid of any malevolent intentions.
Dr. Amadi emphasized that his charitable endeavors, whether aimed at the church or the underprivileged, are intended to help individuals rise above poverty.
While addressing the press on Saturday, June 6, Dr. Amadi questioned the possibility of exchanging the destinies of those he assists financially.
He further explained that his contributions to the church are aimed at preventing the less fortunate members of the congregation from being burdened with financial obligations for ecclesiastical projects.
Dr. Amadi explicitly accused the administration of Senator Hope Uzodimma in Imo State of perpetuating false accusations of diabolism in relation to his philanthropy, even to the extent of alleging his association with an occult organization.
He stated, “Wherever you go, they claim that Chima Matthew Amadi donates money, even lavishly. The government has provided a platform for individuals to falsely assert that I am part of an occult group; that I make donations to exchange people’s destinies.
“Consider the notion of exchanging the destinies of the impoverished pepper trader to whom I donate N200,000. When I contribute to the church, it is to ensure that the poor do not struggle to contribute towards the execution of church projects.”
Dr. Amadi revealed that he chose not to align with the ruling party to avoid engaging in sycophancy, as Imo State requires a transformation that will drive its accelerated development.
He lamented that states which once looked up to Imo State have now surpassed it, citing Abia State under Governor Alex Otti as an example.
According to him, due to the developmental initiatives of the Otti administration, the value of properties in areas such as Aba has significantly increased.
He believes that Governor Hope Uzodimma still has time to alter the narrative by achieving more for the people before his tenure concludes in 2028.
The senatorial candidate further disclosed that he will prioritize education both as a senator and as the governor of Imo State.
According to him, upon being sworn in as a senator, he will guide the legislative body to allocate funds for the development of four smart schools in four council areas of his senatorial zone, projects he intends to initiate with his personal resources pending the release of budgetary allocations.
Dr. Amadi stated that during his tenure in the Senate, he will demonstrate his commitment to development and gain insights into public service before returning to become the governor of Imo State, during which time Imo State will experience the true essence of effective governance.
