Police Refute Allegation Of Hostage-taking At Imo Power Station
The Imo State Police Command has refuted the allegations of abduction and hostage-taking at the 132/33KV Transmission Substation in Egbu, Owerri North Local Government Area of the state.
The Command said its preliminary investigation revealed that no staff of the National Integrated Power Transmission Company (NIPTC) or Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) was coerced into shutting down the facility on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
