Ex-Imo SSG Endorses Third Term For Uzodimma
Barr Chris Okewulonu, former Secretary to the Government of Imo State, has endorsed a third term for Governor Hope Uzodinma, citing the governor’s extensive infrastructure development across the state.
Okewulonu made this statement while addressing APC leaders and stakeholders at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Convention Centre in Owerri.
As an APC stalwart, he emphasized that the governor’s infrastructural and human capital development initiatives necessitate a third term.
According to Okewulonu, Governor Uzodinma’s people-oriented projects will compel rational and patriotic Imolites to support his continuation in office.
However, Okewulonu lamented that the Nigerian constitution has not been amended to accommodate more than two terms for governors.
He urged Imolites to support Governor Uzodinma in providing more benefits to the state.
Ebekuodike Obowo noted that the governor’s landmark projects demonstrate his commitment to the welfare of Imo people.
Okewulonu commended Governor Uzodimma for building the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Centre and praised his vision for the state, highlighting achievements such as road construction, salary increases for civil servants, digital empowerment for youths, and health insurance for rural dwellers.
He assured the governor of the APC’s unwavering support and appealed to Imolites to appreciate God’s gift of Governor Uzodimma to the state.
