2026 World Cup: A Significant Journey Ahead For Super Eagles

Nigeria’s Super Eagles still face a considerable journey in their quest to qualify for the 2026 edition of the World Cup.

During the Confederation of African Football (CAF) playoff scheduled to take place in Morocco on November 13, Nigeria will compete against Gabon, while Cameroon will face Congo DR.

The victors of these matches will advance to the final on November 17.

The nation that emerges victorious will face winners of playoffs from Oceania, Asia and America in a six-nation intercontinental tournament to determine the two countries that will play at the 2026 World Cup final.

Meanwhile, a total of 20 countries have qualified for the next year’s Mundial.

They are Canada, Brazil, Paraguay, Mexico, United States of America, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Argentina, Uzbekistan, Jordan and South Korea.

Others are Ghana, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Cape Verde, Colombia, Uruguay and Ecuador
