Book Highlighting Gov Uzodimma’s Intangible Achievements Set For Release
A new book that chronicles the achievements of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, beyond mere physical infrastructure is set to be released.
The book which is a publication of the Imo State Orientation Agency documents the administration’s institutional reforms and other less visible contributions to governance.
Titled “BEYOND ROADS: THE UNSPOKEN ACHIEVEMENTS OF GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA”, the book emphasizes the governor’s initiatives in fortifying government institutions and revitalizing underperforming agencies as part of his comprehensive governance strategy.
The book is edited by Ethelbert Okere, the Director-General of the agency; Marshal Opara, Head of Media; and Nkechi Akubuiro, Head of Mass Mobilization. It aims to enhance public understanding of governance beyond roads, bridges, and other physical infrastructure.
In the foreword to the book, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), stated, “By documenting both visible achievements and the institutional reforms that underpin them, the book contributes significantly to the expanding body of literature on governance and public administration in Nigeria.”
During a press interaction, Dr. Okere expressed that the agency was motivated by the governor’s exemplary performance, which led to the decision to document achievements that may otherwise receive limited public recognition. He announced that the unveiling of the book will coincide with the public presentation of a Compact Disc featuring a song recorded by the agency’s mass choir, with the date to be announced soon. The 250-page full-color publication consists of ten chapters covering a diverse array of topics.
This publication is anticipated to enrich public discourse on governance and serve as a record of the administration’s efforts to enhance institutional integrity and improve public service delivery in Imo State.
