The Chairman, Disable Community in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State, Cyril Ezikeugo has appealed to those behind security breaches in the council area to sheathe their swords and embrace peace and dialogue.

Ezikeugo noted that the insecurity in Orsu has caused untold hardship to their members, stressing that some of them could no longer feed their  families or buy drugs to take care of their health challenges.

According to him, most of our members depend on support from politicians, government appointees, businessmen and women to enable them feed but the insecurity in Orsu has scared them away from home.

He stated that his members are handicapped in any emergency situation while some are dying from illnesses.

Ezikeugo said;”I want to appeal to all the aggrieved parties to sheath their swords and allow peace to reign in Orsu for the sake of the disable community because we are the most affected.

He urged the state government led by Sen. Hope Uzodinma to make amnesty package available for bandits who are willing to lay down their arms, adding that it will help to restore sanity and peace in the area.

Ezikeugo commended the Attorney General of the state, Chief COC Akaolisa for his efforts at restoring peace and sanity in Orsu Local Government Area.
