A United States-based organization, The World Owerri Peoples Congress(The WOPC) has invited applications from students in tertiary institutions of learning in Nigeria for a tuition assistance grant of N100,000 for each selected beneficiary
In a statement signed by its President, Uzoma Iheanacho, the organization listed the criteria for eligibility for the grant.
According to Iheanacho, candidates for the grant must be indigenes of Owerri Federal Constituency comprising Owerri Municipal, Owerri West and Owerri North Local Government Areas.
Iheanacho added that candidates could be new or existing students of approved schools and must show proof of their admission in the tertiary institutions.
The president directed interested candidates to apply online or download the application form, fill and send it via email through the WOPC web portal at https://www.wopcus.org/.
He equally informed that the deadline for submission of completed application form would be May 27, 2023, pointing out that submission of a completed application form is no guarantee that the applicant is entitled to the grant.
Iheanacho did not disclose the number of candidates slated for the grant or the spread in the federal constituency, saying that both are prerogative of the organization.
