The Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Candidate in Imo State, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has blamed the All Progressives Congress, APC for the worsening condition of workers in the country.
Anyanwu charged the organized labour to hold the APC responsible for the pitiable condition of workers in states of the federation, expressing worry that if left unattended to may adversely affect their performance.
Anyanwu, who is also the National Secretary of the PDP regretted that despite the contributions of workers in enhancing the economy, the APC administration is doing everything possible to scuttle efforts for a better society.
According to him, it is inhuman and uncivilized for APC government to treat workers’ welfare with disdain, noting that until the administration is sent packing, it will be impossible for workers to enjoy their genuine benefits.
The governorship standard bearer further charged the leadership of organized labour to protect workers from exploitation, harassment and intimidation.
He commended workers for their humility, dedication and meticulousness to their father land, and charged governments to make their welfare a major priority in their programmes.
Anyanwu condemned the challenging experience workers are going through in Nigeria as a result of APC bad governance, abuse of human rights and neglect of international best practices.
He urged them to remain prayerful that such distasteful situation they are currently witnessing will be a thing of the past.
