A former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has expressed shock over the sudden death of Chief Humphrey Anumudu, describing his demise as very devastating.

Prince Madumere’s remark is contained in a statement issued by his media aide, Uche Onwuchekwa.

Madumere described Anumudu as a great man with the patriotic zeal towards the development of the state and uplift of its citizenry.

He extended his condolences to the Anumudu family and the Labour Party – a political where he had not only shown interest to using as a vehicle to vie for the governorship of the state but has proven his readiness by investing heavily in the structure of the party, having purchased his intent forms.

Madumere said;”He is my brother and a fellow patriot with the same line of positive thoughts towards the growth and development of our dear state and its people.

“He has remained consistent and resolute in this pursuit. It is more painful that his exit is coming at a time his involvement, wealth of experience and pragmatism would have been sought by the people of the state.

“I mourn. It is sad. I have recovered from the shock but we cannot ask God why. 

“I pray to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. I also pray that the same fortitude be extended to the Labour Party family even as I pray for the repose of his soul”.
