Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has expressed his profound gratitude to the people of the state for the massive support they gave to the All Progressives Congress which made the party record a landslide victory in the March 18 House of Assembly election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the APC winner in 26 of the 27 constituencies in the state.
The remaining constituency, Ahiazu Mbaise was declared inconclusive and observers believe the constituency could still be go to the APC.
Gov Uzodimma noted, in a statement on Tuesday that the massive support to the APC is a vote of confidence in the achievements of his administration especially in the area of provision of road infrastructure.
According to him, the success of the APC in the Assembly polls has spurred him to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
He extended his hand of fellowship to all political leaders in the state, urging them to join hands with him to work for the development of Imo, which he noted is the only state they could call theirs.
