The Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC has declared the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of 26 State House of Assembly seats in Imo State.
A statement released on Sunday by the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sylvia Agu disclosed that the APC won in 26 local government areas of the state.
Sylvia declared the poll in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area inconclusive.
She added that a fresh poll would be held at a later date in the council area.
Results as announced by the INEC showed that six incumbent members of the State Assembly were re- elected.
The re -elected members are Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu (Nwangele), Kanayo Onyemaechi (Owerri West), Kennedy Ibeh(Obowo), Ogbunikpa Chidiebere Samuel (Okigwe), Nwaneri Chigozie Reginald (Oru East) and Dominic Ezerioha (Oru West).
