They expressed dissatisfaction at the outcome of the February 25 Presidential/National Assembly polls which Nigerians and the international community have described as flawed.

The observers said, INEC needs to be up and doing to ensure a level playing field for all political parties participating in the upcoming exercise and redeem her image against criticism.

“Following the general criticism of the February 25th, presidential and national assembly election by both Nigerians and International communities that the election was flawed, we wish to called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to step up in exercising her constitutional obligation in the upcoming governorship and state houses of assembly election.

“We call on the commission to be up and doing and ensure a level playing ground to all participating political parties and redeem her image.

“We wish to also call on electorate to ensure a violence free exercise and the candidates to also have the spirit of sportsmanship after the election, as the whole aim is for the development of Nigeria”.
