Addressing newsmen in Jalingo on Friday, El-Nathan Billa Auta, the Senatorial Candidate for Northern Taraba Senatorial District said the candidate of the Labour party, Sen. Joel Danlamin Ikenya has Thursday during their meeting collapsed his structure to support the APC governorship candidate, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha.

According to him; “We are here to support you to the Government House. I’m here with all the state House of Assembly candidate and the LP local government chairmen. We also want to tell you that we distant ourselves from the endorsement by our party chairperson”.

“And as a support group, We also want to know what you have for us eventually if you win. We’re not decamping but we’re only here to pledge support. We all want to head forward and not backward”.

He stated that Labour Party came second in the presidential election, and they believe that they won but the election was rigged.

Responding, the APC candidate, Bwacha commended the LP leaders for their support for him.

He expressed delight at their support for him.

Bwacha said; “This shows that you love the state. And I want to assure that, by God’s grace our victory is sure.

“And I want to assure you that, I will run an inclusive government with open handed and welcome you all to the government.

“I sat with Ikenya and we had a good arrangement, We’re working together with Ikenya to win this state together”.
