Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state, Prince Charles Amadi has invoked curses on the people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency for turning against his son after collecting election intervention funds.
His son, Akarachi Amadi is the APC candidate in the February 25 National Assembly elections and forthcoming rerun poll in the constituency.
Prince Amadi, popularly known as Charlvon was said to have placed the curses on the people at a leadership meeting held at the weekend at his country home, Eziama ahead of the forthcoming re-run election.
Addressing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru leaders, Prince Amadi told them point blank that the monies which they collected from him only to vote against his son would turn into poison for them and their families for betraying him in the election.
According him, “Some of you came to me begging for election logistics to deliver my son who is the APC House of Representatives candidate, and when the funds were made available for you, painfully, you turned against my son and directed your followers to vote against him.
“I never knew that most of you seated here are hungry saboteurs who only wished me and my family failure. My kind message to whoever that is involved is that those monies collected will turn into poison for you and your families; mark my words”.
Efforts by the leaders at the meeting to respond were resisted by Prince Amadi.
He boasted that none of the leaders has what it takes to stop his son from wining the re-run election despite their betrayal during the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly polls.
Recall that the Labour Party candidate, Hon Uche Ogbuagu had accused Prince Amadi of threatening the people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency with armed security personnel shortly after the election was declared inconclusive.
Similarly, a leader of APC in Achi Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, who attended the leadership meeting wondered why Prince Amadi would be putting curses on people for not voting his son.
He noted that the said Charlvon is going around with curses from the Owerri people for betraying the Owerri Zone agenda in 2014/2015.
He maintained that Prince Amadi lacks shame to approach Mbaitoli/Ikeduru people to vote for his son after he was alleged to have collected over N100 million and landed property in choice areas from the then Governor of the state to betray Owerri zone.
Efforts to get Prince Amadi comment on the matter proved abortive as his phone rang repeatedly switched off.
