Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has lashed out at members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who sabotaged the party during the Presidential and National Assembly polls held on Saturday, February 25.
Gov Uzodimma frowned at members of the party who were given responsibilities during the polls but who sat on the fence, describing their action as sabotage.
The governor spoke last Sunday after a mass held at Government House Chapel in Owerri, the state capital.
Uzodimma told them that they stand to gain nothing by sabotaging a system put in place for the success of the election.
He said that those who withheld resources mapped out for elections or hid themselves in a corner showed the highest level of sabotage.
He appealed to all not to sabotage themselves, because “both God and government see such bad behaviour.”
He lauded the clergy for their fervent prayers that made it possible for people to come out and vote and urged them not to relent “because it is not over until it is over.”
