Imo First Lady Donates Bungalow To Widow

Wife of Imo State governor,. Chioma Uzodimma on Wednesday commissioned a two-bedroom bungalow she built for an indigent widow in Umuofeke Okohia Community, Ideato South Local Government Area of the state, Love Ezette.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Uzodimma, represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Nkechi Ugwu, disclosed that the first lady has empowered more than 500 women in the state.

Ugwu said the governor’s wife sent them to ensure that the widow who the house was built for packed into it immediately.

She said the governor’s wife has been going around different local government areas in the state, building houses for homeless indigent widow.

The commissioner prayed that the beneficiary will live happily in the house and enjoy prosperity, as well as get all her heart’s desires.

In his speech, the member representing Ideato South Constituency, Johnson Duru, said it was about one week ago when a similar building was commissioned for another indigent woman at Ndi Okoro Ejimoge in the same Okohia Community.

He said the gestures were under the auspices of the government, saying that the house will go round all the wards in the local government area.

Also speaking, the Ideato South Sole Administrator, Pastor Ikeaka called on the people to continue to support the state government.

He urged them to express their support by voting for the candidate of All Progressives Congress for the Ideato South Constituency in the House of Assembly election in the state.

Responding, the beneficiary, Love  Ezette expressed gratitude to the wife of the governor for the kind gesture.

She prayed God to continue to bless the first lady and her family with good health and long life.

Adding her voice, a woman from the community, Anna Alufuo, also expressed overwhelming joy and appreciation to the wife of the governor for the kind gesture.

She described the governor’s wife as a generous and kind hearted woman, praying that she will receive good reward from God for all her good works.

Also speaking, the first son of the beneficiary, Ezette Joseph, also expressed happiness that through the benevolence of the First Lady, they have become house owners.

“I pray God to bless them more and more, replenish wherever they got the resources to show us this wonderful kind gesture”.

Joseph, a graduate, also solicited the assistance of the governor’s wife to secure a job that will help him to shoulder the responsibilities of the family.
