The candidate of African Democratic Congress, (ADC) for Isiala Mbano State Constituency poll, Chima Akuzie has pledged to donate his four years salary to his constituents.
Akuzie said the salaries would be plough into the empowerment of youths, widows and other less privileged members of the society.
The contestant submitted that the Isiala Mbano State Constituency has been grossly misrepresented by past representatives.
According to him, he would step down for any of his opponents who makes same vow backed with affidavit.
Akuzie made the pledge when his campaign train arrived at Central Primary School, Amaraku on Saturday, where he received endorsement from Mbama Clan, Mmiri Oma Support Group and Hope For Good Governance Support Group.
Akuzie said; “My ambition to represent Isiala Mbano State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly is not for financial or material aggrandizement but for the betterment of our people particularly the youths, indigent women and the less-privileged.
“I will ensure that jobs are provided for our youths through sound legislation and partnership with my foreign development partners.
“This project is not about Chima Akuzie. It is about all of us, our future. So, we cannot afford to fail.
“I will give Isiala Mbano my monthly salary for four years for the empowerment of our youths, widows and the less privileged.
“I vow to step down for any of my co-contestants who vow same backed up with affidavit. But I know that none of them will do it because of selfish interest”.
He enjoined the people of Mbama Clan particularly the youths who trooped out in their numbers, to vote for him and the ADC on Saturday, maintaining that his victory on Saturday, is inevitable.
In their separate speeches, Chief Innocent Osuji and Pastor Fabian Iwuji of Umunkwo Ward, described Akuzie as not only a good man, but also the right man for the job, considering his proven integrity, humility and trustworthiness.
Also speaking, Amara I.K. Elvis from Amauzari Ward referred to Akuzie as a philanthropist known for his commitment to the service of God and humanity, saying that he deserves to represent Isiala Mbano Constituency in the state house of Assembly.
The highpoint of the rally was the endorsement of Akuzie by Amaraku youths led by Comr. Nnamdi Orjiakor, as the most dependable, trusted and reliable candidate to be sent to the Imo State House of Assembly.
