The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Taraba State, Prof. Muhammad Sani Yahaya says he will prioritize education and create jobs for youths and women if elected governor on March 11, 2023.
The Director Media and Communication of the NNPP Governorship Campaign, Zakari Ahmad Nguroje disclosed this at a press conference in Jalingo on Sunday.
According to Nguroje, the Yahaya administration will also give attention to teaching of science and technical subjects in secondary schools to enable more students in the state qualify for admission to study science related courses.
According to Nguroje, the former Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University will provide scholarship programme that will benefit students in tertiary institutions to ensure that students study professional courses like engineering, medicine and computer science for the good of the state.
He said; “The only way to attain advancement for the state and the country is through education especially science and technology education, Yahaya understands this and will do everything to reposition the education sector.
“He will also tackle insecurity in the state and address unemployment among the youths to reduce restiveness.
“Yahaya will ensure fairness in the distribution of the state resources through development projects in the state,”
Nguroje added that Yahaya has a blueprint for the rapid transformation of Taraba state, and called on the people to troop out en masse on 11th March, 2023 to cast their votes for him
